Who We Are
Classic Gist is an independent online publication run by a small, passionate team of writers based in Nigeria. We cover the stories that matter to Nigerians at home and abroad, from breaking news and public affairs to trending topics and everyday issues.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to deliver reliable, well-researched news in plain language. We believe every reader deserves information they can trust, without exaggeration or confusion.
What We Do
- Report news that is grounded in facts and checked before publishing
- Explain important issues in a clear and readable way
- Keep readers up to date on trending stories across Nigeria
- Correct mistakes quickly and openly when they are brought to our attention
Our Editorial Standards
Accuracy and fairness guide everything we publish. We rely on credible sources, avoid misleading headlines, and clearly separate news reporting from opinion. If you spot an error in any of our articles, please let us know and we will review and correct it promptly.
Our Commitment to Readers
We respect our readers’ time and trust. Our content is written for people, not just search engines, and we are committed to improving the site every day so your experience stays smooth, safe, and informative.
