Veteran Nollywood actor, Francis Duru has reportedly handed away following a brief illness, in response to an announcement attributed to his household.
The household introduced his demise within the early hours of Friday, October 23, 2026, in a press release shared on the actor’s verified Instagram account, @francis.duru.
The assertion learn: “We, the family of Francis Duru, regret to announce his passing following a brief illness. We appreciate your prayers, love, and understanding. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.”
The actor’s demise comes about two years after he suffered the lack of his youngest son, Ifeanyi, in 2024.
